You are here: Home > Publishinghouse Me, the future....or not?
Date: Friday 27th Jan 12
As many of you know the DfE funding for Publishinghouse will end in July and we are still urgently seeking funds to continue PHMe beyond then. Some of our members including Caitlin and Emily have written to David Cameron to ask for funding to be continued for PHMe, which is an increasingly popular showcase for some of the best literary and artistic talent in and out of our schools. The replies have been extremely complimentary, but the government will not make an exception for Publishinghouse.
We will continue to work hard on behalf of you all (well over 2,000 pupils) to look for funding, but you are a powerful group...if any of you feel passionate enough to contact your MP or write to the Secretary of State, Michael Gove, then please do. Outside politics you may know somebody who would like to partly fund PHMe themselves, please think who you might be able to contact to help us continue PHMe.
The good news is that Dennis Publishing have agreed to partly sponsor PHMe for the next 12 months, but that funding will not be enough on its own. So it is up to you all out there!!
Anyone wishing to fund PHMe should contact LIz Dix L.Dix@wlv.ac.uk who is the West Midlands Regional Director
