A poem about horses.... Submitted by Emily (Award 339), age 15

The beautiful hooves,
God made them well,
your necks are arched,
your sound is as clear as a bell.
Oh what the spring gives,
To see your young,
It makes my heart swell with pride;
Oh what the winter does,
gives the poor horses colds,
Winters the worst time of all.
In the forest you live,
In the stables you do,
you can't speak,
you have no need,
your eyes tell me all I need to know.
