I don't like Mondays
A poem about freedom and everything. Submitted by Katie (
136), age 16
Why do you want to shoot some people?
Don’t you like the class?
Or are you insane?
You think it don’t matter
That those kids don’t come home
Life ends in fear
‘Cause you didn’t like the class
‘Cause you were defeated
Couldn’t be bothered to argue
So just shoot them all down
Like it matters
Why full of hate, what have these people done to you?
Made you feel small
Like it matters they don’t get home today so just shoot them down
And there’s no peace
For their parents
And obviously your not
Thinking of your own
What will they say?
Or will you shoot them all down too?
But this is about you
You think it’s sensible to shoot, to kill
Yes ‘cause your so angry inside
And it’s warm
Will it be in hell?
