Lovebirds

A poem I made up😄. Submitted by Emily (Award 339), age 14

We were like lovebirds,
Up in the sky,
The life you gave me
The most hurtful lie.

You made my heart soar,
Flying up in the breeze,
Up and up and up,
Weaving in and out trees.

Why did you have to do this to me?
You made me plunge down through the sky,
The words, oh the words,
Were they really a lie?

We were like lovebirds,
Up in the sky,
You left me alone,
With no where to cry.
