silent and grey.
Enchanting smiles
imposing figures
dramatic gestures,
twisting, turning
falling over.
There is some skill involved!
Go to an audition and perform
for an audience
for admiration...
Pride in what you do,
naked in front of the publics gaze,
Better think that divorce through,
show the perfect family.
This is 1922
unaware of what this enterprise
will do.
What it will become?
Cranking the camera , arms ache 4 days after...
Worth the hassle,
to walk through the aisles
in theatres!
See amazement on peoples faces
at what you do,
at moving pictures.
At what you create, for them and for me
....satisfaction.

people stop and gawp
this isn’t like vaudeville,
it’s getting everywhere
people’s awe, shaking hands with these stars they see on screen,
a divide.
Tell a story and the audience would have to listen, enthralled,
don’t go thinking theatre is mother superior
better watch out,
movie stars are paving gold,
in that small town called...Hollywood.
