When word got out...
Recently a friend of mine had a secret that she told me and a few other close friends. before we knew it, the entire school was sniggering behind her back. someone had leaked the secret... I used her sadness as inspiration. . Submitted by Megan (
80), age 12
When word got out,
Rumours spread like wild-fire,
The horrible truth leaking through lips,
A cruel reality awaiting…
A mole in my ring of ‘so-called’ friends,
Loyal companions - untrustworthy,
Indefinite insecurity…
Simply discarded by adults as a squabble,
A glum cloud lingering above me,
No real purpose in life,
No punishment for the spiteful,
Innocent victims thrust into a saddened eternity…
