Youre smarter than that

When Jen discovers that someone close to her, is on the inside of MI6, she finally makes a seemingly life changing decision... . Submitted by louise (Award 551), age 12

As Jen walked down the road after school, she noticed something in the corner of her eye; a small park bench, strange, this wasn’t here this morning... Sitting upon the park bench was a young man: his hair (short back and sides) was neatly trimmed, his black suit uncreased and his expression as clear as lightning, he was determined.
“Are you Jen Adams?” he said coldly.
This was extremely confusing, “HOW DID THEY KNOW IT WAS ME?” Jen thought; of course! MI6! They really knew their stuff!
Immediately, Jen went back to her natural instinct: she ran, slowly at first but as fear gripped her, she hurled herself around the harsh corner, to Jen’ horror, MI6 had thought of everything, there was a car (a black jeep) was blocking her path!
“STOP RIGHT THERE!” the voice of Robert Sharp rung through Jen’s ears.
“Not again!” Jen was now wanting to tear her heart out. “I told you; I’m not interested! Now, just leave me alone!”
As Jen knew this farm (the whole 50 acres) like the back of her hand, she quickly jumped over the nearest wall and ran for her life...
Suddenly Merlin the dog emerged, rustling the woodland trees behind him. “At last!” Jen thought “Someone who actually makes sense!” Surrounded by the trees, a lonely ropeswing hanging over a dry stream and a bewildered dog, Jen could finally think: Why would these people be after her? What use would she be to them suddenly, something clicked in Jen’s brain, “Our last option...” that was why they wanted her...
“Hello Jennifer, nice to see you again,” once again, Robert Sharp’s voice emerged “after our last encounter, we thought we wouldn’t find you, you should thank your mother, she said you would be down here...” sadly, these insane people now knew her hiding spot, the one place she could think straight.
“One of the reasons you would be useful to us is your age, your young, you can do missions that no adult could ever do, secondly, it’s your hobby (your main hobby that is) horse riding; it’s an adequate excuse for bruises, cuts, etc.”
Suddenly another person emerged from the bushes of the woodland, “He’s right, you know.” Adam was now crouching behind her, his arm squeezing her shoulder “Please do it for me.”
Jen was almost in tears “Why you!? Are you working for them!” Jen had burst into tears.
Adam cut the tension “Oh please, I thought you were smarter than that! I’ve been working with them for years, when they mentioned recruiting a new agent, they asked me if I could recommend anyone, furthermore, I’m only 15, but they said that wasn’t young enough, instantly I thought of you.. I hate to admit it but your clever, smart and you’ve got a good instinct; we need you!” and on that note, Jen was decided.
She suddenly turned to Robert Sharp: “ I’ll do it!”
